Hi, I’m Hannah.
Brine & Thrive is my notebook on fermented foods, probiotics and digestion. I started writing it because I kept looking for plain-English answers about why some foods seem to sit better than others, and most of what I found was either too technical or trying to sell me something.
I’m not a doctor or a dietitian. I read the research, work out what it does and doesn’t say, and share it the way I’d explain it to a friend. I like trying small, simple changes, and I’m honest when the science is still early.
What you’ll find here
Straightforward guides to fermented foods and probiotics: what the studies suggest, what’s still unclear, and gentle ways to try things for yourself.
How I write
I use AI tools to help with research, drafting and editing, and every article goes through source and quality checks before it’s published. Health claims link back to named sources, and I aim to update posts when new research changes the picture. I won’t promise results, because bodies respond differently.
A note on health
Everything here is for information only and isn’t medical advice. If you have a medical condition, take medication, are pregnant or have a weakened immune system, please check with your doctor before changing what you eat.
